With proven strength ahead: Jan-Caspar Jannicke is Head of Competence Center Road Construction
Jan-Caspar Jannicke – graduate civil engineer (FH), publicly appointed and sworn expert for asphalt and bitumen materials – has been responsible for our Competence Center Road Construction since September 2023.
As a proven expert, Jannicke brings with him a broad range of expertise in consulting and testing: Road construction and application technology in asphalt and concrete form the foundation of his CV.
The 44-year-old started his career 29 years ago as a state-certified building materials tester. He has held various positions in consulting and industry, including as a development engineer at DENSO and most recently as a technical manager at a road construction company. Jannicke has proven his expertise over many years in engineering consultancy for building materials and as an expert for notified bodies and testing laboratories. Jannicke is also involved in various committees within the German Road and Transport Research Association (FGSV).

Mr Jannicke is a recognised specialist thanks to his many years of experience in technical consulting combined with his application-oriented knowledge of construction materials. Practical seminar at DENSO: Seams, joints, edge formations & layer bonding
The German Asphalt Academy (DAV) held a practical seminar on this topic at our premises on 15 February 2024. DENSO co-organised the training course, where the participants updated their know-how with first-hand expert knowledge – in theory and practice. TOK®-Band SK: A self-adhesive bitumen joint tape for joints and seams in asphalt road construction with excellent stretching and adhesive properties. It has a full-surface self-adhesive layer on one side and can therefore be laid quickly and securely 'cold'.
